excuse the typos, but i'm writing one handed - still. since my last report things have not exactly been going as planned. unfortunatly my second visit to the surgeon showed that i had good reason to be in extreme pain from my broken collar bone - it had spleyed in a v shape, and a huge jagged bone was close to poking through the flesh on my shoulder, and i stood to be in pain and restricted for life - urgent surgery was required, gulp!
a
couple of agonising days later and i was about to face action with a chinaman
wearing a green mask armed with a sharp knife and a drill; like a surreal
bruce lee movie - only this was to to be dr gan rebuilds the white man.
unfortunately what was to be a fairly routine procedure went toes up when
further and possibly life changing problems were detected. needless to say
i was freaked, but the risk of surgery had to be taken, even if they did have
to shave half of my tarzan chest off.
so,
as it stands dr gan and his black and decker diy set have plated and screwed
me back together and i'm outta hospital. currently i'm slung and in an ice
jacket and going stir crazy in kl, where i'm grounded for a week of recovery,
on antibiotics etc, which means i can't do jack - not even drink tiger beer.
but at least i'm no longer strapped in a bed a foot too short with more tubes
than einsteins home lab attached to me - in front of malay languge tv with
cold scrambled egg agg and wet cold toast for brekkie.
anyway,
for now it's physio, ice, satalite tv and not much else. but i have to take
my sling off to dr gan and co - they were spot on - great, if this would of
happened in the uk i guess i'd still be in a&e waiting to be sent home
with a box of pain killers - nhs .....seriously
- when i repotred my newly detected problem to my gp a few years back he didn't
even examine me, told me he had that too - and turns out it was potentially
deadly!
more, the week before i flew away i went to my gp to re-asses an ear infection
and a ruptured ear drum - should i fly? oh, keep your fingers crossed he
told me ...
but, could give you many more fine examples, though
for now its ceiling crack
counting, again, 700032 ....
